Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Dr. Kylie Sims brings a warm, compassionate approach to pediatric dentistry that helps children feel comfortable and confident. Having spent most of her life in Lincoln before moving to Omaha for her residency, Dr. Sims is proud to continue serving the community she calls home. Dr. Sims earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She went on to further her training with a Pediatric Dental Residency at UNMC, where she developed a strong foundation in caring for children of all ages.
Dr. Sims’ passion for dentistry began early, inspired by her mother’s work in a pediatric dental office and her own positive experiences as a young patient. She saw firsthand how a caring, patient-focused dentist could shape a child’s perception of oral health, and she knew she wanted to create those same meaningful experiences for others. Today, she finds great fulfillment in helping children overcome dental anxiety and build confidence in their smiles.
Committed to ongoing growth and connection within her field, Dr. Sims is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Nebraska Dental Association. She also enjoys participating in elementary school outreach programs, where she educates children of all ages on the importance of healthy habits and preventive care!
Outside the office, Dr. Sims enjoys staying active, cooking new recipes, and spending time with her dog, Rogan. She values time with her close-knit family, including her parents, siblings, and two nephews, and she comes from a large extended family with over 60 cousins—something she considers both fun and special.
