As a Nebraska native, Dr. Darin Kotil grew up in David City, a small farming community, 60 miles west of Omaha. Dr. Kotil attended Midland Lutheran College (now Midland University) earning scholarships in both football and golf. He graduated from Midland with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Kotil was accepted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry in Lincoln, Nebraska. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1995.
Following dental school Dr. Kotil moved to Austin, Texas, to start a private practice. It was there that he realized that pediatric dentistry was his passion and where he could make his biggest impact. Soon after, Dr. Kotil moved back to Omaha and completed his post doctorate training in Pediatric Dentistry at UNMC, where he was elected Chief Resident.
With over 20 years experience Dr. Kotil continues to serve the greater Omaha and surrounding communities. Dr. Kotil strives to provide a fun, friendly, comfortable dental environment so even the most anxious patient will feel at ease. A big smile and a positive attitude can shape your child’s dental experience for the rest of his or her life.
Dr. Kotil lives in Valley, Nebraska, with his four children. His oldest child Aevari is a sophomore at Ole Miss University. His son Kale attends DC West and twin brother Koen attends Elkhorn South! His youngest son Kinsler attends St. Patrick’s elementary school. Following his children’s active schedule is number one on Dr. Kotil’s agenda, but when he does have free time he enjoys being outdoors while boating, fishing and traveling.
Dr. Kotil is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Nebraska Dental Association and the Omaha District Dental Association.
